Monday Matcha 🍵 Smoothie
Looking for a Monday Mood Lifter? Enjoy this delicious green matcha shake!
Matcha Almond Butter Smoothie Recipe:
- 1 cup almond or coconut milk 🥛
- 1 cup fresh baby spinach
- 1 frozen banana 🍌
- 1 Tablespoon almond butter
- 1 teaspoon matcha 🍵 powder
- 1 Tablespoon honey 🍯
- 1/2 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt
- 1 cup ice
Place ingredients in blender jar in order as listed. Blend for 60 seconds or until smooth and enjoy!
Optional/Substitutes:
👉🏻Milk: you choose your favorite: almond, coconut, hemp, oat, regular, etc.
👉🏻Sweetener: Instead of a banana you can use 2 pitted dates or 1 Tablespoon maple syrup or honey or 1 small scoop of stevia powder.
👉🏻Spinach 🍃: you can use 1 scoop of green superfood powder, spirulina powder, kyo greens or omit the spinach.
👉🏻Nut Butter: The almond butter is delicious with the matcha and gives you extra protein. You can use cashew butter, pecan butter or walnut butter instead.
👉🏻Add ons: You can add 1 scoop of protein powder or collagen powder.
👉🏻Want a thicker shake? Add 1/8 of an avocado 🥑.
