🧘🏻♀️Reverse Warrior🤸🏻♀️
✨Viparita Virabhadrasana✨
✨Reverse Warrior Pose✨
💪🏻This pose strengthens, stretches and balances the body. Creating leg strength and flexibility reversing your warrior pose opens up the sides of the torso, the intercostal muscles (muscles between the ribs). This pose is not about how far back you can bend yourself. It’s about emphasizing the stretch and openness of the side of the body.
👉🏻When reversing your warrior pose bend deep into the front knee (knee stacked over the ankle) and actively create space stretching and opening the side of the torso. It’s an intense side stretch. This will help you in backbends because the more space and lengthening you create in the spine the easier the poses become.
This standing pose promotes focus, balance, willpower and confidence while releasing any excessive ego. These characteristics relate to the sacral chakra and solar plexus chakra.
🧘🏻♀️Be kind to your body.
I am not a doctor. I am sharing my knowledge and practice with you as a yoga teacher. It is up to you to be aware of your own safety and your body. I can help give you tools to practice but the rest is up to you to practice in a healthy way that is safe for you and your body.
