What’s your love language look like?

It’s the month of February!  ❤️❤️❤️

Do you know what the love languages are?

The 5 languages are:

Physical Touch: holding hands, hugging, cuddling, kissing and sex are examples of physical touch. 

Quality Time: Giving your partner undivided attention. Listening with your full attention, talking together, being fully immersed in them, no distractions. Giving them your time to spend together. Taking a walk, hiking together, playing a game, etc. 

Words of Affirmation: Words of encouragement, uplifting words that make them feel appreciated and loved. “You always know the right thing to do when _____.   I love the way you do _______.  Thanking them for something they do. “Thank you for such an amazing breakfast this morning!”  “Thank you for always being there full of love and support.” “I appreciate you and all of the things that you do.”

Gifts: A special gift that shows appreciation for them. Something they enjoy, something they’ve been wanting, something they have a hard time buying themselves. A new outfit, a massage package, a gym membership, a vacation, a car wash, etc. 

Acts of Service: Doing something for your partner that they would appreciate. Cooking them a meal, doing some chores so they don’t need to, cleaning the house before they come home, doing their laundry, organizing the bedroom, fixing the repairs on the house, etc. 

Figuring out what love language you have vs your partner’s will be hugely beneficial in communicating in a healthy and compassionate way to each other. Knowing what you both gravitate towards and how you like to feel appreciated will empower your relationship and bond together. 

Find out what your love language is and start to regularly act and speak with that language to help support your love for each other.
