Fresh Orange Juice

Why buy orange juice when you can make it home?  It’s amazingly quick and easy to make homemade orange juice in the Blendtec blender and did I mention how delicious it is!?

All you need are some oranges, your  blender and some ice.  Yes, it’s that easy!

I buy organic oranges from the local farmers market.  Drinking fresh organic orange juice is much less expensive than buying it at the store.  Organic orange juice can cost around $8 for a 32oz container.  I can buy 10lbs of organic oranges at the farmers market for $10 which will make much more than 32oz of juice, plus I am supporting local farmers and enjoying fresh juice free of pesticides, additives and chemicals.

10lbs of oranges is about 15-20 medium sized oranges and I only need 4 to make 32oz of juice.

Want to make fresh orange juice at home? Here we go…

1. Get 4 medium size oranges

2. Slice the peel off of the oranges. This is easier to do with a knife than peeling with your hands.

If you have leftover orange juice that you know you won’t consume within the next few days then simply pour the remaining juice into an ice cube tray and freeze the orange juice to use at another time.
