✨Tropical Aloe Smoothie✨
Have you ever tasted the fresh fleshy gel from an aloe leaf? It’s bitter and astringent. But it’s got a lot of health benefits. So in order to make it more palatable you need to combat it with something sweet. Hence the sweet ingredients below in this smoothie that I made.
Try it out! It’s delicious and nutritious!
✨Tropical Aloe Smoothie Recipe✨
1/2 cup fresh aloe gel
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup frozen banana
1 orange (which is about 1/2 cup) (peeled, no seeds)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup coconut water
Blend until smooth.
**Make sure you cut the green leaf part away and only use the gel in this recipe. Be careful cutting the leaf, the fleshy gel is slippery and slimy.
Best way to make a smoothie is using a Blendtec Blender! It’ll make the smoothest smoothie!
Benefits of aloe:
Anti-inflammatory, inhibit growth of bacteria, antioxidants, hydrating, reduces dental plaque, helps treat canker sores, slight laxative effect, improve blood sugar management, healing properties and more!
***This is not a smoothie to drink every day because it’s not good to drink things with laxative effects often. Drink it every now and then.
